OH NO!!! Cassi and baby girl in the hospital

well....quite a story to tell. We will all never forget dropping Zach at the MTC, sending Todd and Tessa home, me staying to help and then finding out hours after the MTC that Cassi is in full labor at 20 weeks. After 2 days of labor and no miscarriage, the docs cerclaged her, put her on anti-contraction meds/anti-biotics and sent her home for bedrest. She had leaked a lot of amniotic fluid and membranes were prolapsed through the cervix dialated to a 2. Terror fits the experience, but faith found it's way in our scared hearts. Thanks for all the prayers, flowers, meals, etc for Cassi and baby girl Penrod!! Here she is in utero.....more to tell I am sure on this one....click to enlarge.

  1. Cassi is always so beautiful! I love your short summary of the wretched weeks you all have endured-- so hard to put it all into only a few sentences, but you did it so eloquently! That miracle baby girl is ADORABLE in that ultrasound photo! I mean, it is really rare that you can say a fetus is adorable. :) I hope everything is still going as well as it can...
