The Silly Tale of a Silly Tailbone '08

Chuckle if you must. Not so funny for me!
OK. Here's the deal. Exactly one year ago I strapped a snowboard to my body--which is pushing 50. My picture reveals the very "spill " I took BREAKING my tailbone! OUCH! (No one told me I needed a pillow in my pants) So...why does it STILL hurt one year later? Please tell me one can heal at my age...please, anyone? ONLY skiis for me. Yet, I do LOVE skiing with the Larson's every February. It's a great sport.

  1. Oh ouch. I just have to say... I had tailbone probs for years from carwrecks, softball and cheerleading...I was a teenager, so my body may have been more resilient than it is now. I went to the chiropractor probably twice a week for a good 9 months...it went away!! I'm not sure if it was broken...I do know that the x-ray showed that it curved under and up way too much. There were two options to fix the prob...one not seeming like an option b/c I couldn't even imagine someone doing "it" to me, so I chose the less painful method....which worked! :)

So what I was going to originally ask? Have you tried a chiropracter?

Hope it doesn't bother you too often!
